Rebecca Royen

Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, she moved to Boston where she attended Brandeis University, earning a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Journalism, and lived for 12 years before venturing down south to Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was recently hired on at the University of Alabama in 2012 as a Marketing Coordinator for the school.

In 2011, Royen started Little Bee Designs, putting her creativity to use by producing graphic prints of comic puns and artistic designs on a variety of odds and ends, from handmade cards to decorative plates to children’s clothing.

She’s participated in a number of art festivals such as Druid City Arts Festival, Alabama Farmers Market, the Birmingham Art Walk and Art on R Mountain. Her work has also been displayed at Kentuck’s Saturday shows and the Alabama Art Kitchen. In her spare time, the graphic designer enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties for her friends.
