Cory Patton
Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Ala., “Rosedale all day.” Age is a mystery. He joined the Army for 11 years and was deployed to Afghanistan while enlisted. He’s lived all up-and-down the Southeast, anywhere from Atlanta, Ga., to Charlotte, N.C. He attended the University of Alabama and dropped out after two days.
Today the “visual-cultural artist” creates murals and paintings while working on a number of side projects such as Perfecto High and Daily Vintage. He’s also in the process of opening up a print shop in Tuscaloosa, Mass Printing Solution (MPS) as well as a Southern publication.
The graffiti artist hopes to stay in town and become the next Fab 5 Freddy, exposing Tuscaloosa and the South for what it really is: a bubbling cauldron of cultural diversity, a collective unlike any other in the country.
