Day 5, Entry #10 with Holly Kennedy and Craig Wedderspoon discussing the Bryce Hospital controversy and the University of Alabama.
“Patients at Bryce Hospital will soon find themselves accommodated with a state-of-the-art, brand new facility to help them in turn thrive to the best of their ability.”
Maybe not. The Mental Health Commissioner’s new plan is to move everyone currently at Bryce into community care and turn the new Bryce into a replacement for Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility.
Rep. England’s response doesn’t really address what’s best for the patients, though, and instead worries about what it will do to the Alberta community (and that’s a whole other can of worms, to be sure. Alberta needs all the help it can get).
I hope we collectively exercise judgment as best we can, but this development has got me a little spooked.

Craig: Well, I guess I was mistaken.
