Day 1, Entry #1 with Bo Hicks discussing the Bryce Hospital controversy and the University of Alabama.
Howdy everyone. I’m not sure I knew what I was getting into when I suggested this topic. There seems to be very different schools of thought about this. One seems to be that hospitals are cold dark places that are sad for the patient. The other: this is just away for the state to push off responsibility for the care of these people on to local government. I tend to lean towards the later.
I just feel that more people that need the help will fall through the cracks and that does not even broach the massive loss of jobs. I know Walt Maddox has been firmly against this plan, and, it could just be me, but I believe he has been a great voice and fighter for our town. While on the other side, Governor Bentley strikes me as not very likable.
Is it just me, or can you just hear Governor Bentley saying “release the hounds” in Mr. Burns voice?
